How do we act?
HealthTech Valley acts as a connection facilitator between research, care, and industry to accelerate the transition of health innovations from lab to market.
Specifically, we implement:
- A cross-border technology transfer committee, regularly bringing together tech transfer stakeholders from the three regions to share projects, best practices, and collaboration opportunities.
- Networking events (thematic workshops, technology platform visits, researcher-business meetings) to foster the emergence of joint projects.
- Training initiatives for researchers, technology transfer offices, and companies to strengthen key skills in valorization, intellectual property, and industrial partnerships.
- A pre-incubation program dedicated to researchers, designed to facilitate the transition from research to startup creation or transfer to industry.
Funding & Investment
Facilitate access to funding and connect project leaders with investors
How do we act?
HealthTech Valley aims to streamline access to funding for innovative health companies and projects at every stage of their development.
Our actions include:
- A cross-border mapping of funding stakeholders and tools, to improve visibility of existing opportunities across the three regions.
- Networking and matchmaking initiatives between project leaders, startups, SMEs, and investors (events, targeted meetings, business conventions).
- Dedicated training for companies and project leaders, to strengthen their skills in financial strategy, fundraising, and investor relations.
- Investor awareness initiatives, to promote HealthTech investment opportunities within the cross-border territory.
- The development of a cross-border health investment fund, aimed at sustainably strengthening innovation funding in the region.

Territorial Marketing
Promote existing strengths and enhance the international visibility of HealthTech Valley
How do we act?
HealthTech Valley implements a joint territorial marketing strategy, based on promoting the assets already present in Hauts-de-France, Flanders, and Wallonia.
Our actions focus on:
- Pooling data and key indicators from the three ecosystems to demonstrate the critical mass and excellence of the territory.
- Defining a common HealthTech Valley identity, highlighting areas of specialization and differentiating strengths.
- Promoting the territory at European and international levels, to companies, investors, researchers, and talent.
- Engaging regional public authorities within a cross-border territorial marketing committee, ensuring the consistency and sustainability of the strategy beyond the project.
- Promoting territorial stakeholders (companies, research centers, hospitals, technology platforms) through content, events, and communication initiatives.
