We officially launched the HealthTech Valley project on March 23 at the Eurasanté Hub, bringing together over 100 health and innovation stakeholders from Hauts-de-France, Flanders, and Wallonia.
With this initiative, we aim to structure a leading cross-border healthtech cluster, capable of strengthening cooperation between ecosystems and increasing the international visibility of a region rich in expertise.
We pursue three main objectives: to accelerate technology transfer, facilitate access to funding, and stimulate collaborations between researchers, companies, hospital actors, and investors.
“We decided to unite our efforts to launch more ambitious projects for our ecosystems,” emphasizes Etienne Vervaecke, General Director of Eurasanté.
This launch day allowed us to present the project roadmap and initiate the first concrete exchanges between partners, through a round table, thematic workshops, and networking sessions, as well as three guided tours of the Lille university hospital campus focusing on key themes: oncology, neurosciences, and innovative medical devices.
Coordinated by Eurasanté, in partnership with Flanders Investment & Trade and Biopark Charleroi, HealthTech Valley is co-financed by the European Union as part of the Interreg France-Wallonie-Vlaanderen program.
For us, this launch marks the beginning of an ambitious collective dynamic to establish a leading European hub for health innovation.
